Langtang Special Trek To Jugal Himal

Langtang special trek to Jugal Himal needs special preparations before leaving for the actual trek. This trek is very least frequented area and it is highly recommended for those trekkers who would love to do the trekking on the virgin trials and off beaten trials. The only means of accommodation is tent and this trek can only be organized on the basis of camping. Jugal Himal Trek starts from a bus drive to Chautara then all the way up to panch Pokhari and ends in Tarkeghyang. The trekking trials cuts through the tropical forests and some narrow trials. The settlements of villages are very few and majority of the population are Tamang. Jugal Himal Trek is a classical way of trekking in Nepal by camping method. Jugal Himal sets the border line of Nepal and Tibet. Jugal Himal Treks will reward you with the views of Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Madiya and Phurbi Chhyachu. Trek to Jugal Himal will also take you to the holy Lake Panch Pokhari (meaning five Lakes in Nepalese term).

Day 01: Arrival, pick up by our staff and transfer to Hotel

Itinerary

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival

Upon arrival in the International Airport, you will be picked up by our staff and transfer to a hotel. Our Trekking Manager will meet you in the Hotel and discuss you about the details of the trekking.

Day 02: 04 hours Drive to Chautara and overnight stay in Tent

The Scenic drive to Chautara on the typical hilly road of Nepal will approximately take 04 hours. We will make an overnight camping at this place.

Day 03: 05 hours Trek to Syaule and overnight stay in Tent

The first day of the trek is gentle ascent and descent and the trial passes through Rhododendron forests. We will slowly pick up the pace from the first day.

Day 04: 06 hours Trek to Kamikharka Dada and overnight stay in Tent

The trial will slowly pick up the pace with steep uphill ascend. The trial passes through the Rhododendron forests.

Day 05: 06 hours Trek to Chyocho Dada (3160m) and overnight stay in Tent

The journey is much more tiring than the previous days. The route will encounter steep uphill ascend and passes through thick Rhododendron forests. The route also encounters a large Chorten after a steep uphill climb and we will camp overnight at this place.

Day 06: 06 hours Trek to Hile Bhanjyang (3800m) and overnight stay in Tent

The trial will encounter steep uphill ascend and descend for nearly two times. The uphill steep ascends are followed by descend to the forests. After reaching Hile Bhanjyang at an altitude of 3800 meters, overnight camping will be done here.

Day 07: 05 hours Trek to Nasem Pati (3800m) and overnight stay in Tent

There is a steep uphill climb up to the top of a hill 3980 meters that leads to a flat ground and there is a long stone wall. On a very fine weather you will be able to capture some spectacular views of rural villages, hills and hillocks.

Day 08: 04 hours Trek to Panch Pokhari (3600m) and 02 hours Trek back to Nasem Pati and overnight stay in Tent

Panch Pokhari is a holy Lake and on a full moon day lots of people gather here as a celebration. You will be able to find snow on the trial. The trial to Panch Pokhari is a steep climb of four hours. Snowfall in Panch Pokhari is expected and therefore in order to avoid camping on the snow you will be trekking back to Nasem Pati.

Day 09: 05 hours Trek to Gaikharka (2530m) and overnight stay in tent

We will retrace our trial to Gaikharka. The route is a gentle descend past several small rivers and streams. Camping site at Gaikharka is beautiful.

Day 10: 05 hours Trek to Yangri (1360m) and overnight stay in tent

We will further descend down to Yangri with an altitude downfall from 2530 meters to 1360 meters. You will encounter some steep descend trials which passes through forests and small village settlements. After crossing the bridge over the Panch Pokhari River, we will further descend down and follow the Larke river and camp at the Eastern bank.

Day 11: 06 hours Trek to Laghang Gompa (2800m) and overnight stay in tent

The trial will continue descending until we cross two rivers, Larke River and Yangri River. Then the trial climbs steeply upwards through the Yangri village. The trial will continue to push upwards through the forests, villages and terrace fields. Then a final uphill ascend of approximately 900 meters to Laghang Monastery.

Day 12: 05 hours Trek to Tarkegyang (2600m) and overnight stay in tent/ Tea house

The trial down to Tarkegyang is very steep and rough. The trial will start with an uphill climb through the forest and then finally leading to the open area of small pastures and stone houses. The total duration of the journey is approximately three hours and thirty minutes.

Day 13: 05 hours Trek to Sermathang (2590m) and overnight stay in tent/ Tea house

Then total duration of the trek to Sermathang is approximately 05 hours and the trial is a gentle descend all the way to Sermathang.

Day 14: 06 hours Trek to Melamchi pul (2530m) and overnight stay in tent/ Tent house

The trial is a gentle ascend and descend with mostly descend. The trial passes through the small forests and small village settlement. Most of the inhabitants of the village are Tamangs and Sherpas. Then a slow descend downhill leads to Melamchi where we will stay overnight at a camp.

Day 15: 03 hours drive to Kathmandu

The scenic drive back to Kathmandu is 03 hours from Melamchi pul.

Day 16: Airport drop for final departure

We will drop you in the airport for the final departure
