Langtang Valley Trek- The Classical Journey of Langtang Region

Langtang Valley Trek unfolds the ultimate experience of cultural tour along with Trekking adventure. The trip will take you straight on the lap of mountains and peaks. The Langtang Valley trek is a perfect combination to peek into the Himalayan life style and culture along with the spectacular view of Langtang Himalayan range and its surrounding peaks. Most inhabitants of this region are Tamang whose cultures are most likely influenced by Tibetan culture. There are lot of similarities between Tamang culture of Langtang valley and Tibetan culture. Most of the people of Langtang region are Sheep and Yak herders. The myth of Yeti seen in this region still lives among the people of Langtang Valley. Main occupations of this region are Livestock, agriculture, trade with Tibet and Tourism. In addition to the trekking adventure experience in Langtang region, visitors can observe Syapru dance, Khampa dance, Shaman performance and other colourful performances during major festivals like Lhosar (February), Chhiju (December), Baishak Purnima (April/ May).

Itinerary

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival

Upon arrival on the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be picked up by our staff and transfer you to a hotel. Our Trekking Manager will discuss about the trekking details of Langtang valley.          

Day 02: 08 hours Drive to Syaprubeshi (2720m)

The typical drive to the hilly area of Nepal will be started from Kathmandu and the scenic drive to Syaprubeshi is approximately 07 hours. Syaprubeshi lies to the North western side of Kathmandu valley.

Day 03: 05 hours Trek to Lama Hotel (2410m)

The first day trial of the trekking contains gentle ascents and descends. The pathway passes through forests and tea shops. The typical lifestyle of Nepalese people can be viewed from a close distance. We will have to cross the suspension bridge multiple times.

Day 04: 05 hours Trek to Langtang Hotel (3330m)

The trial of the trek passes through the dense forests and encounters tea shops, prayer wheels and Chortens. The view of Langtang Lirung can be captured from the trial.

Day 05: 03 hours trek to Kyanjin monastery (3730m)

Today's destination can be reached within 03 hours and we would be doing Lunch at Kyanjin Gompa. The trial encompasses many Yak pastures and we will have to cross many wooden bridges. On the trial we will encounter the largest Mani wall of Nepal. Kyanjin Monastery is surrounded by mountains all around. The beauty of Kyanjin Monastery is more colorful with its glaciers, Lakes, Icefalls, Birds, Yaks and spectacular mountain peaks.

Day 06: Rest day at Kyanjin Gompa (Monastery)

You will have time to rest your muscles and also you can explore around Kyanjin Monasteries for Lakes, Glaciers, Birds, Yaks and mountain peaks.

Day 07: 06 hours Trek to Lama Hotel (2410m)

We will retrace our pathway to Lama Hotel as most of the trial is steep descend. The total journey will approximately take 06 hours. The trial passes through the Tamang settlements and its rich cultural aspects.

Day 08: 05 hours Trek to Syaprubeshi (2720m)

The last day of the trek should approximately take 05 hours to reach Syaprubeshi and most of the trial is gentle descend.

Day 09: 08 hours Drive to Kathmandu

The scenic drive back to Kathmandu through the unique hilly road of Nepal should take approximately 08 hours. 

Day 10: Drop to International Airport for final Departure

We will drop you to the International Airport for the final departure and wish you a safe journey back home.
